Music for Weddings & Functions
Carl would be happy to provide music for your ceremony, reception, art opening, business meeting or other special event. Carl has played for hundreds of weddings and receptions including special events at the Portland Museum of Art, Portland Stage Company and the Maine Governor’s residence. You can hire Carl as a solo performer or in a duo, trio or larger ensemble. Repertoire can include classical music, jazz and world music.
Here are some options:
Solo – Carl can perform on both flute and guitar, (though not at the same time!), drawing on a wide range of repertoire.
Flute and Guitar duo – This is an elegant combination. Carl works with either Keith Crook or Nathan Kolosko, both excellent concert guitarists. Repertoire can include classical music, bossa nova, jazz standards, Beatles, celtic music, etc. (Other classical ensembles with strings or piano are also available.)
Jazz Combo – This can be a duo, trio or larger ensemble. A wonderful combination is Carl on flute and guitar in a duo with upright bass. Carl works with premier bassist Jim Lyden and other top members of the Maine jazz community.

Pricing
Pricing depends on the number of musicians, the length of time involved, significant travel and other expenses. A rough estimate is $200 per musician plus expenses. Dear Tummlers -
Susan and I want to thank you for providing the extraordinary music at our wedding. We were exceptionally pleased, and virtually every one of our family and guests raved at the group's skill, friendliness, and capacity to create a unique mood for the entire occasion.
The processional music lent an air of grandeur to the ceremony. The Tummlers not only entertained us during the reception, but they were willing to teach us each circle and line dance, and they managed to get almost everyone up on their feet. The quality and diversity of the program, the instrumental skill and vocal talent of the players, and the personal involvement of each group member left us feeling fortunate to have chosen the Casco Bay Tummlers. Most important of all, they made our wedding fun!
